Apple Music is one of the company’s most elite features that focuses on curating over 90 million tunes with the help of experts, and with you in mind. Granted, you do have to pay directly for it but generally, it is worth having.

However, there are several other alternatives that allows you to listen to music on your iPhone for free, at least for a limited period.

Apple offers a one month free trial of Apple Music, giving you free music for that period. You also get longer trials of 6 months if you purchase some product sets from Apple, like HomePod, AirPods, or Beats headphones, etc.

You can use it on Apple products as well as PCs, Sonos, Amazon Edge, PlayStation 5 and other devices, not just your iPhone. You may wonder though , if it is possible to add your own music to Apple Music like you do similar apps like Spotify.

If you desire to add your own music to Apple Music, it is possible to do so. There are two options for how to get your music on Apple Music. You can either upload to Apple Music directly through their system, or indirectly through Apple’s preferred third-party.

You can upload their music directly to Apple Music and iTunes through the iTunes Connect platform when comes the first option. It is a tedious process but it means you get direct revenue from Apple.

Or you can use approved distributors and labels who can upload and collect revenue on your behalf if you don’t qualify for the first option.
