Early in September 2018, Canon unveiled the EOS R, the company’s first full-frame mirrorless model. It is a roughly mid-range mirrorless device in the present market and is based on the sensor and circuitry of the EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR. However, it is advertised as a well-built model with a sturdy body, similar to Canon’s conventional professional camera bodies.

Can I use Canon R5 in the rain?
The Canon EOS R has excellent weather sealing, so we wouldn’t hesitate to use it for brief periods in heavy rain and for longer periods in light rain or drizzle.
