iOS serves as the underlying software that allows iPhone users to interact with their phones using gestures such as tapping and swiping.

Some of the built-in apps of the iPhone which cannot be erased are; a calculator, calendar, compass, iBooks, clock, camera, etc.

These apps are a suite of mobile applications developed by Apple Inc which are bundled with iOS and installed by default or through a system update.

Since they are built-in apps also known as “pre-installed iOS apps” they cannot be removed even if an erase command is issued.

Personal information should be backed up before an erase command is issued to avoid losing vital documents or information permanently.
