God of War games in order

Since the well-received 2018 remake, God of War has had a slight comeback. With the franchise still going strong thanks to a PC Port and God of War Ragnarök, this is the ideal moment to take a look back.

God of War, a Greek mythology-themed hack-and-slash game that has since grown in scope, emphasis, and gameplay, is now one of PlayStation’s prestige titles and an unofficial mascot.

However, it might be simple to lose track of the extravagant series due to its numerous spinoffs, mobile versions, and rather non-chronological ordering. Fortunately, we are here to make things right.

You can play through the main games in chronological order or in the order they were released because several of them have received remasters or are included in PS Plus Extra.
