The computer RAM comes in different capacities and models, now, the most widely used are the DDR4 RAMs. The highest capacity that one can purchase at the time is a 64 GB RAM even though there appears to be a 128GB RAM.
The capacity of RAM that is enough will be determined by the king of applications and processes that you want to be able to run effectively on your PC.
Even though a RAM of 8GB capacity is enough to run programs such as Adobe Photoshop, it may not be very efficient in running an Adobe illustrator program.
Therefore, to determine the capacity that is enough, you need to define the kind of applications you will need to run and your budget.
Other than that, the maximum capacity is the only enough capacity that I can think of.
