Action-adventure hack-and-slash video game God of War II was created by Santa Monica Studio and released by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). The sequel to 2005’s God of War, God of War II was first made available for the PlayStation 2 (PS2) system on March 13, 2007.
It is the second game in the God of War series and the sixth overall. The setting of the game is ancient Greece, and the theme of vengeance serves as its main theme.
Kratos, the new God of War who slain the previous God of War, Ares, is the main character of the game. Zeus, the ruler of the Olympian gods, betrays Kratos, who is then killed and stripped of his divinity.
