The quantity or count of pixels that make up a video frame is known as the video resolution.

The smallest component of a computer image is a pixel. It is one of the tiny dots, similar to an atom in size, that make up the video’s image along with millions of other tiny dots. The greater the video resolution and the sharper the appearance of the video frame, the more pixels a picture contains.

Should I get HD or 4K?

A pixel height of 720p or 1080p is referred to as HD, or high-definition quality resolution. HD offers substantially higher resolution and clarity than SD since it has many more pixels in the frame.

The term “4K” refers to a frame’s pixel width, not its height, hence it refers to a pixel width of 2160p. Even though the pixel counts differ, 4K and UHD are currently largely used interchangeably.

As HD TVs become less common, 4K is unquestionably making its way into what we may anticipate today and in the next years. According to research, nearly half of all US households will have 4K-capable TVs by the year 2024.
