In 2021, Playrix was valued at $8 billion. In terms of income, Playrix was the fourth-largest mobile game developer in the world as of 2022. It employed 4,000 people in 100 locations, primarily in Eastern Europe, with 1500 workers located in Russia and the rest in Ukraine. Due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, the corporation announced in October 2022 that it was halting operations in Russia and Belarus.

Igor Bukhman and his brother Dmitry own Playrix games. The company is well recognized for its free mobile app games like Fishdom and Homescapes. The brothers, born and raised in northern Russia, began selling games online when Dmitry was still a senior in high school.

Playrix now generates an estimated $2.7 billion in annual income. The Bukhman brothers bought a share in Nexters Global, a maker of video and social network games, in 2018.
