Why am I getting vine calls?

You can check on an offender’s custody status in a county or state facility using the free computer-based telephone service VINE. You can also sign up to get an automatic notification when an inmate is transferred or freed.

If an offender is in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections, the Oregon Youth Authority, or the county jail, you can find out through VINE. It will also provide you with other crucial custody, probation, and parole information.

By leaving a phone number on VINE, you can request to be called if that offender is released, transferred, escapes passes away, or has a change in their parole or probation status.

Why am I getting vine calls?

The VINE’s goal is to give victims of crime ongoing access to information on an inmate’s custody situation. A victim can check the offender’s custody status by contacting the VINE hotline or signing up online.

They can also sign up to get notifications when a particular convict is transferred or released. A statewide program called VINE gives people access to information and notifies them when an inmate is transferred or released.
