1976 marks the beginning of a journey that has come far to be one that bears remembering and will echo throughout the history of technological advancement in the world.

Apple was started on the first day of April in 1976. The company has withstood several obstacles that came its way in its years of operation and have proven to be a strong and determined achieving company.

The company is known for the creation of several electronic gadgets but their most noticed being the iPhones.

iPhone was first released in 2007, they were by then one of the smartest mobile telecommunication devices. The releases of the iPhones from that time seemed to be the following a series of the numbering systems.

However, iPhone 2 and iPhone 9 seem to be missing from the fold.

Why did iPhone skip 2 and 9?

After the release of the first iPhone, the iPhone 1 or iPhone 2G, the world was ready for the release of an iPhone 2 just to be given the iPhone 3G.

The same thing happened when it was time to release the iPhone 9.

Apple has not specifically said the reason behind the skipping of these numbers but from careful analysis, it is noticed that any time that Apple is to begin a new generation of devices, they skip one digit. It is also seen in the work of Microsoft where they skipped the release of Windows 9.

Many say Apple is just following the trend laid by Microsoft.
