Why is Omegle asking me if I’m a robot?

Omegle, originally had only a text-chat feature until 2010 when they added a video-chat feature. The incredible thing about Omegle is that; users are not required to register or undertake any form of verification before using the platform.

Omegle identifies users based on their IP address, it is ban or restrict users that violate its terms and condition through their IP address.

Owing to the number of bots and hackers on Omegle attempting to take over users’ identities the website introduced a CAPTCHA feature.

Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA) is a response system on the internet that helps to decide whether a web user is human or a bot.
