Sound quality is not always ensured by a good projector. The main issue is the image quality.

There aren’t many projectors with built-in speakers, and their sound quality is dependent on them. So, in its place, we suggest an external projector speaker. It is more portable and offers better sound quality.

The active speakers receive their own independent AC power supply. Typically, a stereo RCA plug (red/white) or 3.5 mm jack cable is used to connect the projector’s audio feed. A stereo receiver or AV receiver should be linked to a passive projector speaker using speaker cable. For instance, the AV receiver receives the projector’s image via HDMI, and then sends it to the projector via another HDMI while the speakers receive the audio via speaker cable.

While a passive projector speaker is more likely to be found in a home theater, active projector speakers are frequently used in lecture halls and conference rooms.

To connect an active loudspeaker to the projector, your projector must have a 3.5 mm audio output or stereo RCA output. The more typical audio output for projectors is the 3.5mm one.
