To use the watch, you must have a Fitbit account. Personal details such as height, age, and weight are optional, but it makes sense to add them in your profile in order to receive complete and precise fitness and health analysis.
The watch’s two accompanying wristbands allow it to readily suit all wrists measuring 5.5 to 10 inches in circumference. The 40 x 40 x 12 mm 1.6 x 1.6 x 0.5 in aluminum casing weighs between 41 and 43 g 1.4 and 1.5 oz, depending on which wristband is used.
Speaking of which, the wristbands are tapered and really comfy. Additional bands in a variety of colours are available, and the Versa 2 is also backwards compatible with Versa wristbands.
While Fitbit does not provide an IP certification, the watch is said to be waterproof up to 50 m 165 ft and should thus easily survive both the shower and the pool.
Can I use Fitbit Versa 2 without phone?
The bundled USB charging dock clamps to the Versa 2 on both sides. If you want to use the watch without a smartphone, you can download desktop programs for Windows and macOS from fitbit.com, which are backwards compatible up to and including Windows XP.
You may also set it up with a smartphone running Windows 10, Android 7, or iOS 11 or later. Wi-Fi transfers large amounts of data, such as music, from your computer.
