Infosys was founded in Pune, Maharashtra, India by seven engineers. The initial outlay totaled $250. On July 2, 1981, Infosys Consultants Private Limited was founded. It moved to Bangalore, Karnataka, in 1983.
In 2012, Infosys established a new office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to assist Harley-Davidson. Infosys raised the number of employees it has in the US by 1,200 and 2,000 in 2011 and 2012, respectively. In April 2018, Infosys declared its expansion in Indianapolis, Indiana.
EdgeVerve Systems, a subsidiary of Infosys founded in July 2014, focuses on enterprise software products for business operations, customer support, procurement, and commerce networks.
