There are now 5 different instant film formats made by Polaroid. Some work with different types of cameras, while others do not. Open the film door and check for a sticker that designates the proper film type for your camera to determine which type of film your camera uses.
Do Polaroids expire?
Every image on Polaroid film is hermetically sealed in a cartridge that shields it from light exposure, ensuring that when it is released, the color contrast is rich and brilliant. However, Polaroid film only keeps its quality for a year after it is made.
Although theoretically possible, using expired Polaroid film might not produce the best images because the chemistry may have altered. This can have a bad impact on how the pictures turn out. However, I strongly advise against using expired Polaroid film.
