On August 28, Fitbit revealed the Versa 2 smartwatch, which costs $200. On September 15, shipping will start.
It will cost between $270 and $400 for the series 3 or series 4 devices, making it a more affordable alternative to the Apple Watch.
The smartwatch market is dominated by Apple Watch. According to Strategy Analytics, Apple shipped 5.7 million smartwatches in the second quarter, compared to 2 million for Samsung and 1.2 million for Fitbit.
Amazon Alexa, a Spotify app for controlling music and podcasts, and Fitbit Pay, an alternative to Apple Pay, are all new features on the Versa 2.
A Fitbit representative was able to show utilizing Alexa on the Versa 2 to switch on the lights, provide the weather forecast, locate the closest yoga class, and play music on a smart speaker, according to Cherlynn Low of Engadget in an early hands-on review. She remarked, “Everything went nicely and shockingly swiftly.”
She also mentioned that Android users will be able to dictate text message replies thanks to the Versa 2 mic.
Does Fitbit Versa 2 have voice?
Yes because on the Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Sense 2, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa 3, and Fitbit Versa 4, you can use a voice assistant to check the weather, set timers, and alarms, manage your smart home devices, and more.
Currently, only a select number of languages and nations provide Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
