Does Garmin Venu Sq do ECG?

Together with Garmin’s clinical trial testing, Venu 2 Plus’s inclusion of ECG diagnostics hardware and ECG diagnostics software shows the business is obviously moving toward a goal of releasing ECG capability in their wearables. Naturally, the exact date of that is still unknown, as is the possibility that the Venu 2 Plus will ever formally have ECG capabilities.

This past January, the business introduced the Venu 2 Plus, which featured a speaker/microphone with calling-related features as its main new features. Any reference to ECG functionality, or even potential ECG functionality, was left out of that list.

It appears to have been accidentally left in the diagnostic menus of machines manufactured before February, which is partly to blame for the fact that we’re only now noticing it. It’s highly unlikely that Garmin has eliminated the real ECG hardware, but they have since deleted that diagnostic option in a firmware update.

Yes, Garmin’s recently introduced Venu 2 Plus smartwatch looks to offer ECG technology, albeit the company did not explicitly mention it or include it at launch. This is significant since, at least officially, there isn’t a Garmin wearable on the market right now that has ECG functionality.
