Nintendo created and released the third-person shooter game Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch in 2017. It is a direct sequel to Splatoon and was published on July 21, 2017.
It has additional single-player story options and a variety of online multiplayer games. On June 13, 2018, downloadable content (DLC) for the single-player mode titled Octo Expansion was made available.
