Although you can download streaming music apps for the more expensive Fitbit models, up until recently, the only choices were for less well-known providers like Deezer and Pandora.

If you own one of the Fitbit smartwatches that accept apps, you may now couple your Spotify account with your smartwatch because Spotify has been added to the list of music clients that Fitbit now supports.

Currently, the Versa, Versa 2, Versa Lite, and Ionic all offer music playback. Sorry, but you’re out of luck if you don’t own one of these smartwatches or their “Special Edition” variations.

Regular listeners won’t be able to benefit from the connection; you must have a Spotify Premium account in order to stream music from your account on Fitbit.
