A video game called God of War was created by Santa Monica Studio and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was made available on the PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2018, and on Windows on January 14, 2022.
The game, which is the follow-up to 2010’s God of War III, is the eighth game in the God of War series overall and eighth chronologically.
This chapter is loosely influenced by Norse mythology, in contrast to the previous games, which were loosely based on Greek mythology.
The majority of the game is set in ancient Scandinavia in the realm of Midgard. For the first time in the series, there are two main characters: Atreus, a young boy, and Kratos, the former Greek God of War and the only playable character.

We learn the first information on God of War: Ragnarok’s length. The new Kratos adventure will reportedly last roughly 20 hours, which is the same as its prequel, which was released in 2018.
The next sixteen or so hours are made up entirely of gameplay, with only around three and a half of the twenty hours consisting of cinematics and obviously narrative events.
