Infosys was founded by seven engineers in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It received its initial capital of $250.
Infosys Consultants Private Limited was established on July 2nd, 1981.
In 1983, it relocated to Bangalore, Karnataka. In June 1992, the company changed its name from Infosys Technologies Private Limited to Infosys Technologies Limited in order to become a public limited corporation. Infosys Limited was given a new name in June 2011. With a share price of 95 (equal to 580 or US$7.30 in 2020) and a book value of 20 (equivalent to 120 or US$1.50 in 2020), a corporation launched an initial public offering (IPO) in February 1993.
It was recently questioned whether Infosys would still be present in Russia in 2022 to support that nation’s energy sector.
The corporation, in contrast to Oracle and other Western companies, chose to remain in the country despite Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
