The Consumer Digital Battery charging score is divided into two parts: Full charge and Quick boost. Full charge tests evaluate the battery power gauge’s dependability; they examine how long it takes to charge a battery from 0% to 80% capacity and from 80% to 100% capacity, and they analyze how long and how much power the battery needs to move from an indicated 100% to an actual full charge.
Quick boost tests examine the amount of charge the battery obtains after being plugged in for 5 minutes with the phone at different charge levels 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%.
Our Efficiency score is divided into two parts: Charge up and Discharge. The efficiency of a complete charge is defined as charge up (how much energy is drained from the wall outlet vs the energy capacity of the battery, as well as the efficiency of the charger and its residual consumption).
The discharge rate is the amount of current that the smartphone draws from the battery when in operation (the ratio of battery capacity over autonomy). Better autonomy with a smaller battery equates to higher efficiency.
