YouTube launched YouTube Shorts in 2020 as a short-form video option. In the YouTube app, content producers can use this feature to make quick videos of up to 60 seconds and add music or sound effects.
Although the app has always been available to platform producers for use in making videos, Shorts stands apart since it provides a few options that are not present in usual films.
