Android is now the mobile operating system with the largest user base. Additionally, you might already be familiar with USSD codes if you’ve had an Android handset for a while.

USSD codes, commonly known as “secret codes” in popular culture, are merely codes that are used to access hidden actions in your smartphone. Through the Unstructured Supplementary Service Data user interface standard, you can access private features on your smartphone (USSD).

What is Android’s secret code?

Android secret codes enable your smartphone to communicate with your mobile network operator and are programmed into your SIM card or mobile phone number. By using these codes, you may complete tasks on your smartphone more quickly and use them more effectively.

Any security code for an Android device must be typed directly into the dialer for it to function. The code should react immediately if entered correctly, but you might also need to press Dial.

For example, when you want to run a factory reset, you dial the secret code: *#*#7780#*#* (Run a Factory Reset)

If you don’t want to execute a hard reset, this is a better option. This code will simply do a factory reset on your smartphone, wiping away any installed apps and their data.
