Skrill operates in 131 countries and provides a digital wallet in 40 currencies.  Customers can fund their Skrill wallet using a variety of payment methods, including cards, bank transfers, and others.

The funds can then be used to pay merchants and users who accept Skrill payments or converted them into cryptocurrency.

Customers can also make cross-border payments using Skrill’s remittance service. The service allows customers to use their bank cards to send money to an overseas bank account.

Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, operates Skrill for its European-regulated activities.

Skrill Limited, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, operates Skrill’s activities outside the European Economic Area.

Who owns Skrill?

Skrill, along with former competitor Neteller and prepaid payment provider Paysafecard, was acquired by the Paysafe Group in 2015.

Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, operates Skrill for its European-regulated customers.
