Microsoft strives to create backwards-compatible software and file types. It does not always function. Your favorite old Windows game or program might not function if the operating system gap is too great.

Will Windows 10 play old PC games?
Through the application’s Properties menu, you may access Windows 10 compatibility options. Choose Properties from the context menu when you right-click on the old game you want to launch.
The Compatibility tab should be chosen. To execute your application under a prior version of Windows, choose Compatibility mode.
