Apple AirTags were originally designed to offer additional security to its users belonging. It comes at the affordable price of only $29 for one and $99 for four.

Airtags help users to keep track of their belongings to prevent theft and to retrieve them in case of theft. By linking your AirTag to your iPhone, iPad or MacBook, you can constantly keep track of your luggage, your personal effects and even your car.

It uses an Ultra-wideband network along with Apple’s precision tracking to help you find the location of your misplaced item or stolen vehicle.

Are AirTags Waterproof?

AirTags are splash, water, and dust resistant. They were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes).

Notably, though, Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance over time may decrease.

As is the case with most Apple products, AirTags are not waterproof but are water-resistant.

They can therefore withstand minor instances of water, like splashes, but it’s advisable you do not submerge them in water, it’ll get damaged.
