Are pictures stored on SIM cards? There is a school of thought with the belief that older GSM phones used to or were designed to store everything, including photos in the tiny SIM cards inserted in a phone though it has such limited memory.
The rationale behind this is, if you moved the SIM card, you moved your contacts, messages, photos and everything else to the new device.
This belief is not practical in this modern era with cameras coming with such high camera quality and resolution. One thing we do know for sure now is that photos are most definitely not stored on your SIM card but on your device’s memory or a memory card.

A SIM card storage capacity is so low, ranging from about 8KB to 256KB. This is definitely not nearly big enough to save contact information and even a single phone. It would be impossible for a SIM card to hold photos in this era of smartphones and high-resolution cameras.
