The first generation of AirPods came in 2016, a year after the release of the Apple watches. AirPods are wireless Bluetooth 5.0 headphones that can be paired with a Bluetooth device to play and listen to audio.

With the third and the pro versions of AirPod, you are ensured of sweat and water-resistant device that can last from 4.5 to 6 hours on a full charge. With the noise-cancelling feature in the headphones, you are ensured of a clear and high-quality sound output straight in your ear.

Apple watches have thoroughly brought luxury to the use of iPhones. The watch comes with a small speaker and a microphone for receiving calls and playing tunes.

Apple watches are fine on their own but sometimes, you will need to connect them with another sound output device if you need to listen to a louder and more clear sound.

Both Apple watches and AirPods are Apple products. They share a lot of blueprints with each other so it is just reasonable to assume that they can actually connect with each other. But can they really connect?

Can Apple Watch connect to AirPods?

AirPods has a built-in Bluetooth 5.0 that can be used to connect it to another device that allows for Bluetooth pairing.

Luckily for us, Apple watches come with Bluetooth, which means you can connect your AirPod to the Apple watch.

To do so you will have to put your AirPod in discovery mode and then head to the Bluetooth setting on your Apple watch. Once you’re in the Bluetooth settings, you will need to search and pair your AirPod with the Apple watch.
