The catch is that you would need to have an unlocked phone first. Once the phone is unlocked, you can have your phone flashed and activated to the Verizon Wireless network. Verizon will even offset the process by installing a new SIM card for your phone, with your permission.
This process is briefly detailed below.
First of all, you need to dial *#60# to get your IMEI number. This number is unique to your phone. Proceed to write it down.
From there, contact TracFone customer service and request a representative to unlock your phone for you. You would be asked for your IMEI number. From there, write down the unlock code that the representative gives you.
The next step is to eject your SIM card from the phone. After that, enter the unlock code (provided by the representative) and tap send. You should get an alert within 5 minutes that your phone is unlocked.
You now need to visit a Verizon store and have your phone flashed. You can then request that they activate it n Verizon for you. You’d be asked to pick a plan, and of course, pay for the service rendered but that’s pretty much it
