With this current update as of May 21, 2021, you have the ability to download your favorite playlists, albums, and podcast on Apple Watch for a true offline and phone-free experience.
The only demerit to this is that Spotify only offers this update to their Premium users only. If you’re using a standard account, then you may not have access to this update.
To install Spotify on your Apple Watch Series 3 with your iPhone, you first need to open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. From there tap My Watch. From the list provided, under the Available Apps section, find Spotify. Tap on install and you’ll find successful installation on your Apple Watch.
