Steam Deck, a handheld PC console made by Valve announced a powerful game that can be used for gaming and normal PC functions. Steam Deck can be plugged into a monitor or TV and even install Windows.
Originally, the console is Linux based operating and can play even games built for windows through a tool called Proton.
Did The Steam Deck Come Out
It announced it will start off with customers who reserved the Steam Deck via emails on February 25, 2022. And three days later, that is 28th February, other customers will get their hands on them.
Steam Deck is available in the UK, US, Canada and Europe. Valve plans to make Steam Deck available in more countries. The console is not sold in stores but one can get the console directly from Valve via email.
Steam Deck comes in 3 different versions based on storage size and is priced differently.
They all allow storage expansion with Micro SD. To get a Steam Deck, it costs:
- $399 for the 64GB version
- $529 for the 256GB version
- $649 for the 512GB version
