Do voicemails expire? If you use voicemails service, you may have some questions about how they work. What happens to them after you’ve listened? And if you don’t listen, do they expire?

If you use an iPhone, your voicemails are likely to last forever. They won’t expire. If you should check your device, you’ll realize that voicemails you don’t consciously delete are still on the Voicemail tab of the Phone app. In fact, you can even save those voicemails and send them via email, save them to Dropbox, or even AirDrop them to your Mac computer or another iOS device.

For most devices, your voicemail box holds a total of 30 messages. New messages stay in there for 14 to about 30 days.

Do Voicemails Expire?

For Android users, If you don’t save them during that period, they are automatically deleted. Your saved messages are kept for 30 days, after which if you do not delete or re-save them, they are automatically deleted.

So for Android users; Yes, your voicemail does have an expiry period which is 30 after being it’s received.
After that period, if you want access to them, you can re-save them and it will last for an additional 30 days.
