With the rapid increase in mobile phone usage, viruses, and a general panic that the government may be tracking your communication, you may have wondered once or twice whether your phone is being tapped. You may have also associated, sometimes meaningless things like your device battery draining fast, your phone overheating or your mobile data bill increasing, to being tracked. In your quest to find out if you’re being tapped, you may have come across, *#21.

*#21 does not mean in itself your phone is being tapped, but dialing that code can provide you information as to whether your phone calls are being diverted. With this, you can tell if your phone calls are being tapped and subsequently stop them from being accessed by hackers.

You can equally dial ##002# to check erase the track if it happens that your voice call or data call, or SMS calls are being forwarded to a different system or simply being tapped.
