With the rapid increase in mobile phone usage, viruses, and a general panic that the government may be tracking your communication, you may have wondered once or twice whether your phone is being tapped. *#21 does not mean in itself your phone is being tapped, but dialing that code can provide you information as to whether your phone calls are being diverted. With this, you can tell if your phone calls are being tapped and subsequently stop them from being accessed by hackers.
You can equally dial ##002# to check erase the track if it happens that your voice call or data call, or SMS calls are being forwarded to a different system or simply being tapped.
