Portrait mode is a feature on iPhones that captures a picture with a sharp subject against a blurred background. Apple’s version of Portrait Mode requires dual cameras in order to work. Unfortunately, the iPhone 6 has only a single Camera.
This makes it unable to support portrait mode. However, it is available on the iPhone 7 and upwards.
If you are so interested in portrait mode even with an iPhone 6, you could find a way around it by using Instagram.

If you download the Instagram app and sign up, you’ll see from the camera settings in the Instagram app a focus mode. With this, you can take pictures of similar quality, and with the same look and focus.
You can then export the pictures to other apps or the photo app and share them as well, and no one will be the wiser about the camera app used to take the phone.
