Airdrop is a service released by Apple Inc. to enable MacBooks and IPhones to transfer files within a close range by means of wireless communication. It is very convenient because it allows you to send large amounts of files (Videos, Pictures) without the use of an internet connection but by means of a wireless connection.
This service was limited to only Apple devices until 2020 when Google rolled out their first version for android phones called Nearby Share. This feature allows android devices to share files with each other and it does not extend to iPhones.
Does Samsung Have Airdrop?
Samsung is a brand of Smartphone that runs on the Android Operating system. Thus making it impossible to use the Airdrop feature.
However, they are embedded with the Nearby Share feature that enables them to share files among Android devices. Nearby Share is only available for phones operating on Android 6.0 and upwards.
