Does Weather Affect Starlink Usage?

The most popular queries about starlink have to do with its weather reliability. Satellite networks have been known to have the demerit of being tilted by bad weather.
Per Starlink’s FAQ, the receiver has the ability to melt snow that lands on it, but it cannot do anything about surrounding snow build-up and other obstructions which are likely to block its line of sight to the satellite. Due to that, it is recommended that Starlink is installed in a location without any obstruction or blackout, and definitely where there will be no snow buildup. But yes, starlink can significantly be affected by the weather if it is not installed in the right location.
