  1. Make sure that you have a computer (Mac or PC).

The most important and basic requirement here is a PC. If you are using a PC with Windows operating system, make sure it has Windows 8 or later, and must have iTunes installed. Another requirement is the cable that came with the iPhone to connect your phone to the computer.

You need to visit the nearest Apple Retail Store or authorized service provider for help if you don’t have a computer.

 

2. Turn off your iPhone.

3. Put your iPhone in recovery mode

  • Press and hold the correct button for your iPhone while immediately connecting your iPhone to the computer. Do not let go of the button.
  • Hold the button until you see the recovery mode screen on your iPhone, then let go.
  • If you see the passcode screen, you need to turn off your iPhone and start again.

 

4. Restore your iPhone.

  • Locate your iPhone in the Finder or in iTunes on the computer that it is connected to.
  • Choose “restore” when you see the option to restore or update.
  • Wait for the process to finish.
  • Disconnect your iPhone from the computer then set up a new passcode.

 

You can now use your iPhone.
