The Withings scale is a recent smart device designed to give customers an accurate measurement of their body weight up to only about 0.2-pound deviation. The new device will track users ECG (Electrocardiogram) in case of an emerging heart attack, nerve activities and segmental body composition. The scale comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, modes applicable to pregnant women and children. Withings Inc. has designed a mobile application known as Health Mate, which connects to all their devices to help monitor and keep track of customer’s health. The application tracks vitals such as heart rates, weight, blood sugar levels etc.
The Withings scale will know who is using it by comparing the weight entered during its setup. Upon acquiring the Withings scale you have the opportunity to set up an account for a single user or group all users under a single account. The device is designed to save details of up to 8 users. One important data required during setup is the users weight, which allow for auto detection.
