KRAFTON is a tech company located in Seoul, South Korea that is popularly known for developing and distributing video games. KRAFTON, originally called Bluehole was founded in the March of 2007 by Chang Byung – gyu.
Some popular games designed by Krafton included Tera, New State Mobile, PUBG: Battlegrounds and others.
Is Krafton owned by Bluehole?
The board of directors of Bluehole made the decision to change the company name to KRAFTON to act as the parent company of all their subsidiaries and video games.
The company transferred all its subsidiaries under the KRAFTON on November 5, 2018. Bluehole became very successful right after they release a couple of games and as a result, they were able to expand and acquire many development studios.
Some of these studios included PUBG Studios, Dreamotion Inc., RisingWings etc. In 2021, the net income of Bluehole was estimated to be worth around $471 million.
