Is Ubisoft losing money?

Of course, Ubisoft is losing a lot of money with the increasing rise in pirated copies of their games downloaded by most of us on the internet. The original copies of the game do not fetch much money for the company because of these pirated copies.

In contrast to this, it does not mean that the company is running at a loss in the market. The company compensates for the money lost from the pirating activities in the microtransactions and DLC available in the gameplay. This money has been the most nourishing money-making avenue for Ubisoft. Even though these microtransactions and DLCs are seen as frustrating by players, this has become the best revenue-generating source of the company making about 51% of the company’s overall digital revenue.

No matter the number of pirated games that are published on the internet, game developing companies would not make a loss. The gaming sector of technology is still evolving and their patronization is still on the rise.
