Just as other food deliveries, Uber Eats is a food delivery service that was launched by Rideshare Uber after the success of their flagship app Uber. Uber Eats food delivery service is built on existing Uber technologies with a similar interface and process of ordering a ride.

Uber Eats is not the first player to venture into the on-demand mobile food delivery market, however, it has gained wide acceptance since it was incorporated in 2014 to make ordering food right to your home quick and easy.

Uber Eats: How does Uber Eats work?

You start by creating an account if you don’t already have one and proceed to log in. Once you’re logged in, you can see which local restaurants have partnered with Uber Eats and browse their menus to select your favourite meals once you find whatever you’re craving.

Place your order and pay through the app. Just like Uber or Lyft, all payment is handled through the app; there’s no exchange of cash required. After payment is complete, your delivery driver then picks up the food from the restaurant and delivers it to you.

The best part of this experience is that, after you place your order, you’ll be able to receive real-time updates about the progress of your food from within the Uber Eats app.

The app is able to tell you when your Uber Eats driver will arrive. You can follow their progress as your food makes its way from the restaurant to your location.

You can also use the app to leave a tip, see past delivery requests and view invoices for your previous orders. Kindly download the Uber Eats app today and enjoy the convenience of food delivery.
