Apple AirTags were designed to use ultra-wideband technology and Apple’s existing network of devices to help users track down and recover lost or stolen items.
This simple device provided additional security to the user’s device. It can simply be attached to the chosen device using either a keychain or holder, amount or several other options.
To connect an AirTag to your devices you just need to activate it (by simply pulling out the tab), then you hold it near to your device. Your device will notify you that the AirTag is close. You then name your AirTag after the device you want it to track to register it into your iCloud. From there, your AirTag is registered and ready to work.
You must be running iOS 14.5 or above on your iPhone or iPadOS 14.5+ on your tablet in order to track an AirTag though. Anything less will make it incompatible, so you may need to consider updating your iOS first before trying to register your AirTag.
