One of the leading social media platforms a few years ago and even now, in some circles, is Facebook. For several years after its launch, Facebook used to display its tagline, “it’s free and always will be” right before opening up your homepage.
A few years back, in 2018, Facebook change its tag from that to a kore refined and subtle “It’s quick and easy.” This was due to a change in the company’s policy that shifts from the app being free always, to a concept that tally with the possibility that it may not always be free.
Recently the company has changed its name from Facebook to meta in an ultimate rebranding. This new rebrand comes with a different tag line, “Connection is evolving and so are we.”, to symbolize the move from the old name to this Meta, and a general rebirth of the company to suit consumer needs.
Meta now owns WhatsApp, and Instagram making it one of the largest, if not the largest, social media companies or networks in the world.
