iPhone features are usually designed by apple to increase the feel or experience when using your iPhone. One of those features designed to add up to the feel of your iPhone is Haptic Touch.

When using your iPhone, and you come across something known as Haptic Touch, you may be wondering what it is, here’s a quick description for your benefit.

What is meant by Haptic Touch?

Haptic Touch is a 3D Touch feature that Apple introduced in 2018 ‌with their iPhone‌ XR and then later expanded to include its entire ‌iPhone‌ lineup. Haptic Touch uses the Taptic Engine and provides haptic feedback when the screen is pressed on one of Apple’s new iPhones.

What this means is that it uses vibrations to mimic sensations like pressing a button or scrolling through a list when you do it on your screen, instead of you feeling just the glass of the screen.

With this, when you tap and hold an icon or app on your screen, you feel a vibrating sensation before it opens. If you want to get rid of Haptic Touch, you can simply turn off all phone vibrations and you should be rid of them. Otherwise, Haptic Touch is a nice addition to your phone.
