Sound beaming is a new audio technology designed by an Israeli company called Noveto Systems.

It has a desktop device that has the ability to send sound directly to the listener. Let’s take some moment to appreciate what Noveto Systems is all about and its ground-breaking technology.

Noveto Systems Ltd. was incorporated in Israel in April 2011. Two friends named Noam Babayoff and Tomer Shani.

The company name, “Noveto” was coined from the combinations of the first syllables of their names “No” from Noam, “To” from Tomer, and “ve” meaning “and” in Hebrew.

Their mission was to develop a technology that would enable people to listen to an audio as though they are viewing something on a TV screen.

Sound beaming will allow the listener to absorb audio within their space without disturbing the people around.

What is sound beaming?

Imagine living in a neighbourhood where someone plays loud music to disturb the peace of the other neighbours.

Most neighbours find this really disturbing.

It was with this experience, Noam and Tomer decided to come up with a technology that will minimize sound pollution.

Being in the home, office environment, or automobiles.

Noveto technology is built on three main ideas:

  • 3D sensor coupled with ear tracking capabilities locating and constantly tracking the ears of the user.
  • Digital Signaling Processing engines and beamforming technology and algorithmics; calculating the required audio signals to be sent to the user.
  • a plate of ultrasonic transducers sending the required acoustic waves forming tiny speakers in space controlled by the system as a closed-loop system keeping the sound next to the ears of the user at all times.
