What-Is-The-Difference-Between-A-Nano-sim-And-An-eSim?-

What is the difference between a nano-sim and an eSIM? A SIM card is basically a card with an embedded chip that is inserted into your mobile phone. Apple introduced this concept of nano-sim which enables you to access internet data, make calls and send text messages.

iPhone 5 was the first phone to use the Nano-SIM (the smallest form of SIM card ) in 2012. An eSIM, as opposed to a physical SIM card, is a SIM that’s already embedded within a device. Both can work side by side provided you have a dual SIM device with an active plan on a physical SIM and an eSIM.

However, if you’re using an eSIM but your phone does not support dual SIM service, you have to make sure that physical SIM is ejected from your phone to allow the eSIM to operate.

The basic difference between the two is that; one is a physical card that you insert yourself and the other is embedded within your device, out of reach unless you dare open up your device yourself.

In addition, while you may have the opportunity to use SIM cards (and even nano sim) with basically any smartphone, eSIM technology varies in that, if it’s not compatible with your phone, you may not have access unless you upgrade to a newer model.
