Steve Jobs is the founder of the iPhone. Until the death of Steve Jobs in 2011 when Tim Cook took over. Tim Cook was born on November 1, 1960, in Alabama, USA. His father was a shipyard worker and the mother worked at a pharmacy.

Cook graduated from Robertsdale High School in 1978. He earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Auburn University in 1982, and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 1988.

He served as the company’s chief operating officer under Steve Jobs (co-founder of Apple Inc.)

Cook joined Apple in March 1998 as a senior vice president for worldwide operations, and then served as the executive vice president for worldwide sales and operations. He was made the chief executive on August 24, 2011, prior to Jobs’ death.

From 2011 when Tim took over Apple, to 2020, he doubled the company’s revenue and profit, and the company’s market value increased from $348 billion to $1.9 trillion.
