The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)  is an independent agency in the US that is responsible for civilian space programs and other research into space to further understand the globe.

NASA was founded 63 years ago to succeed the National Advisory Committee and have been consistently focused on civilian orientation, and encouraging peaceful applications in space science.

Through its efforts, NASA has built spacecraft, developed robotics and other artificial intelligence, and made efforts to better understand leading questions like what happened in the Big Bang Theory.

The current administrator for NASA is Bill Nelson. He was appointed by President Joe Biden in 2021. As per state regulations, the administrator of NASA is always appointed by the incumbent president. To place in control, the appointment is subject to the approval of the US Senate.

Who owns NASA?

NASA is owned and funded by the U.S. Government. It is a state agency through independent and therefore reports to the state, hence the appointment of the administrator being by the president of the government.
