Starlink is a satellite network developed by the private spaceflight company SpaceX to provide low-cost internet to remote locations around the world and beyond.
SpaceX’s satellite internet proposal was announced in January 2015 and a few years down the lane, the company is well on its way to achieving its aim of providing internet access for all.
Despite its growing speed and successes in the world of technology and internet connectivity in just the past couple of years, Starlink will not replace cell towers.
However, it would replace how towers get access to the internet since Satellites are not primarily designed to handle the great cell phone data capacity. They are basically not capable of providing infrastructure similar to traditional cell towers or accommodating such heavy data demands.

SpaceX’s satellite which Starlink internet falls under is primarily owned by Elon Musk. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the company.
